Product Manager

Mission of the Position

The Mission of this position is to be the wing-to-wing owner of the Allonnia SAFF product line. This employee will work with partners, vendors, and suppliers on the front end to ensure that our SAFF units are being delivered in an efficient, professional manner.  This employee will ensure that all SAFF operations are running to the Allonnia standard.  This employee will work with his/her commercial peers on the proper placement of SAFF units and execution of after-sale.  

Measurable Accountabilities

Product Line Profitability and Pricing:

Is accountable for achieving the gross margin target for product line(s)

Tracks and recommends prioritized actions based on customer and product margin analysis.

Owns and maintains the product line price list making price adjustments based on market and economic dynamics

Works with the commercial team to understand the impact of product placement from the commercial funnel


Product Portfolio Management

Develop and manage a portfolio of products and services in line with changing regulatory, market needs, and internal factors

Works with the commercial team for proper allocation across customers

Leads product life cycle management including new product additions and product retirements.


Logistics:

Identifying, vetting, and helping establish logistics partners to ensure smooth operations and compliance. 

Advise on customs bond application and management/oversight of customs brokerage. 

Liaison with the shipper and partners to ensure efficient delivery of products and samples. 

Advise on necessary insurance needs for shipping.

Ensure import compliance.  

Support development and management of logistics budget.

Supports multi-plant production outputs to ensure customer demands are met across the customer portfolio.


Inventory Planning and Order Fulfillment:

Assists in coordinating resolution to systemic issues.

Insures alignment between product activities and business objectives.

Works with stakeholders to develop inventory policies, levels, and lead times for products across the portfolio.


Competitive Assessment:

Owns a scan of the competitive products and conducts economic evaluation of their offering and capabilities.


Partnership Developer:

Works with partners and third parties to ensure that all in-scope projects have well-understood action owners with actions, timing, etc. for execution.

Assists in understanding process gaps and helps to develop processes to fill.

Key Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, construction,  or science subject
  • Minimum 5 years of operations and/or supply chain experience  
  • A strong teammate with a consistent track record to coordinate activities and influence actions across a team of resources not directly reporting.
  • Showed ability to coordinate activities and influence actions of our commercial and channel representatives to drive pivotal initiatives.
  • Possess strong analytical capabilities to assess and understand customer relationships' profitability  to form optimal partnerships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Well-established project management skills. Analysis, planning, organization, execute on, and follow-up.
  • Upbeat, motivated, and resourceful.
  • Showed strength with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel 10%
