Mission of the Position 

The mission of the role is to 1) Assist in sample preparation and analysis for LC-MS measurement of PFAS concentrations in various sample matrices, and 2) Take responsibility for material/reagent preparation for all SPE & LC-MS workflow activities. This is a full-time position that requires 100% time in the lab.

Key Criteria/Requirements

• B.S. or A.S. in biotechnology, microbiology, chemistry or related field.
• 0-2 years of laboratory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Strong Attention to detail & problem-solving skills
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office tools
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities & Measurable Accountabilities

• Perform a variety of laboratory experiments following SOPs and assist with SOP optimization
• Operate, maintain, and clean laboratory instruments and glassware according to SOP.
• Prepare reagents and media.
• Comply with all safety standards.
• Maintain a lab notebook; Record and manage data.
