Industrial Water Treatment Research Engineer - Mining
Company Description & Purpose
Allonnia’s purpose is the pursuit of sustainable solutions to the world’s toughest waste challenges, because we believe waste is a failure of imagination. We develop and deploy sustainable technologies that leave the planet better than we found it, creating a positive net environmental footprint. By leveraging nature’s own ingenuity and the power of engineered systems, we deliver scalable solutions that remediate emerging contaminants and enhance mining sustainability to extract value from waste and strengthen critical mineral supply chains.
Allonnia is a five-year-old, Boston-based company looking for team members who want to develop innovations for real customers, solving real problems and delivering sustainable solutions to the world. Sound interesting? It is! Bring your adaptability, creativity, team mindset, and drive to commercialize technology that will make an impact for decades to come.
Mission of the Position
The primary objective of this role, as part of Allonnia’s Application Development team, is to develop and deploy sustainable solutions that help decarbonize the mining industry. Our team plays a critical role in integrating D-Solve™ into customers’ operations, delivering a technology that is both economically compelling and environmentally transformative. Check out the 2-minute video of our D-Solve™ solution and see the kind of impact you could have by joining us.
As part of the D-Solve™ team, you will collaborate closely with product development, analytical science, and the broader application development team. In this Industrial Water Treatment Engineer role, you will advance our strategies for regenerating Allonnia’s Biosolutions and extract value elements from D-Solve waste streams, ultimately enhancing water recyclability, limiting water demand, and generating value from waste.
This hands-on engineer will design and implement innovative experimental plans to evaluate known and novel technologies for industrial water treatment to remove gangue minerals from Allonnia Biosolutions and to achieve selective separation of metals from D-Solve waste streams, paving the way for more sustainable mining practices.
You will develop regeneration technology in our Boston lab and bring these innovations to life by deploying them in customer on-site pilots, showcasing the D-Solve process in real-world environments.
