Recruiter/HR Generalist
Mission of the Role
The Recruiter/Human Resources Generalist will focus on growing the team at Allonnia, carrying out full lifecycle employment activities including the interviewing and hiring of staff and driving effective onboarding programs. In addition, this role will provide day-to-day tactical support as our on-site HR representative, developing positive relationships and partnerships with all members of our Allonnia family to ensure our employees are engaged, passionate about their work and feel valued as members of the Allonnia team.
Essential Function
- Collaborates with hiring managers to develop job scorecards to ensure clarity on each role’s mission, requirements, measurable results, and key competencies needed for success.
- Facilitates the Allonnia hiring process for all open positions including: recruiting, screening, arranging interviews, and hosting candidates on-site
- Participates in tandem or group interviews and arranges post-interview analysis among the hiring team
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Develops draft offer letters.
- Coordinates onboarding process for each new hire and ensures new hires feel welcome and comfortable on Day 1, Week 1, Month 1
- Supports HR-related projects to deliver necessary programs to employees.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the CHRO.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Partners with the “Fun Boss” to ensure a successful Student Co-op program including recruiting, selecting, and onboarding of co-ops.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Key qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- Two years’ experience recruiting in a high volume, fast paced environment; Technical recruiting preferred.
- Strong interviewing skills and a talent to build long lasting relationships.
- Self-driven and able to meet deadlines.
- Good organizational skills.
- An excellent communicator.
- Ability to engender trust and respect among the team.
- A hr partner who likes to have fun!
- Previous experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner preferred.
- Previous experience with WHO interviews or Topgrading preferred.
- Previous experience in a start-up or small company preferred.
