Field Technician

Allonnia is seeking a remote Field Technician to join our new U.S. operation. The Field Technician will travel to client sites to commission, repair, and maintain Allonnia’s multiple solutions, including but not limited to, the mobile SAFF® units (containerized water treatment plants targeting PFAS) and 1, 4 D-Stroy (portable water treatment vessel targeting 1, 4 Dioxane, bacterially). Minimum Qualifications (must have):
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in hands-on technician roles
- Associate’s degree in engineering technology or trade certification a plus; relevant hands-on experience acceptable as a substitute
- Previous experience with the commissioning, repair, and maintenance of electromechanical equipment in the field
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time (mostly East Cost/Mid West)
- Based in the USA
- Eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Current OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification or willingness to obtain one
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
Preferred Qualifications (nice to have):
- Experience with industrial plumbing systems or working in a water treatment plant a plus
- Class C commercial license for HAZMAT is a plus
- Forklift certification and / or experience preferred
Measurable Accountabilities
- Commission units on delivery to client sites
- Perform comprehensive maintenance on units being used in the field
- Diagnose and troubleshoot any issues that arise with units, repairing and replacing parts as needed
- Request plant recall and replacement if field repairs prove impossible
- Perform testing and monitoring of all active systems to ensure proper performance
- Decant and dispose of hazardous waste in compliance with all safety procedures and local regulations
- Perform site inspections
- Use forklift to load and unload units’ spare and replacement parts
- Supervise the work of contractors and sub-contractors engaged by the company
- Prepare and submit reports on all onsite activities, expenses, work hours, etc.
- Assist with technical planning for all commissioning, repair, and maintenance projects
